Las Vegas Sands will open its third hotel in Macao this week, this time managed by the Four Seasons chain and including a retail store area and a casino. The new casino, that will open exactly a year after the opening of the Venetian, will have approximately 170 gaming tables and 210 slots, as well as a separate entrance to the hotel and a retail mall.
The hotel will have 360 rooms, all of them exquisitely decorated and equipped with high-end technology; five restaurants that will serve gourmet food prepared by renowned chefs; two bars with a wide variety of drinks and a spa. The retail shop zone, which is already open, has 180 shops from several international designers.
Just like the Four Seasons, Las Vegas Sands, which operates the largest casinos in the world in Macao, The Venetian and Sands, will open in the future more areas integrated to the hotel, including another hotel, by companies such as Sheraton, gaming space with more slots and retail shops.
In 2009, the company expects to launch the City of Dreams complex, together with Melco, owned by Lawrence Ho, son of gaming tycoon Stanley Ho, and the Australian company PBL, property of James Packer and Arch of Triumph, a firm included in the Socidade de Jogos de Macau emporium owned by Stanley Ho. Macao currently has 30 casinos.
